Hey, man, where are my pants? I have my hippo dignity!

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I know how you feel. I'm simply never going to be able to see a performance of Thoroughly Modern Millie again, ever, because Sutton Foster so owned that role that seeing someone else do it scares me. I can imagine Kristen C. might well be similar.

Sighhhhh Man, I love it when that happens.

Mostly lurking...

I don't know. I just saw Wicked a couple of weeks ago. I thought the girl that played Glinda (Laura something...I'd have to look it up...sorry) was just amazing...so...

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Calli! I just happened to get a second, (but just one) at work, and I wanted to tell you how lovely it was of you to come hang out with us and humor Mr.H's trying to corrupt you.

You picked the perfect time to go back to the hotel too, as things got a little nuts, and Mr. H and I needed to vent about work for a while away from the bar.

(It's taken me 10 minutes to type this since I didn't so much have the second I thought I did).

It doesn't even have to be true to be fun, you know? Just the sheer feeling that "no one else could do this" is so exciting.

Hey. New board.

Heh. Very, very vaguely based on the book.

Both excellent, but quite different in tone.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Said mole rat, wearing a sombrero, is currently (courtesy of Steph) perched above my computer.

In other news of happiness, I got to pet a live penguin while at the conference.

Which species? Inquiring minds want to know!

my booth was right next to one promoting field trips to Australia, so I got to flirt with a cutiehead Australian fella, too.

Note to self: explore penguin-enhanced dating technique.
