I know a kid, Hobbit, who will screech and run and climb things in ways that give me Matrix flashbacks, but the minute he lies down for more than 20 seconds, he falls asleep. It's awe inspiring to watch, but as it's nearly impossible to get him to lie down long enough, it's a rare rare sight.

Spike's Bitches 23: We've mastered the power of positive giving up.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
I know adults say this all the time, but I so look foreward to bedtime. I think it's cute that kids are so resistent to sleep. (Please no one remind me I said this in 6 months time.)
Can I hold on to this and use it as a Tagline?
I was like Leif. It was because I was always so afraid I'd miss something.
Me too. So far with Annabel it's variable. Usually she'll play quietly in her crib and then drop off to sleep within half an hour of being put down at night, but maybe one night in every ten she makes a big fuss. And she fights the naps a bit more, but it's rarely a big deal--it's just that her pace picks up a bit, she gets noisy, and next thing you know it's amazingly quiet, you look over, and she's crashed.

Of course - tag away.
What I think is amazing is how kids will sleep through anything. Over the weekend we picked up friends from the airport and their 5 year old, who was asleep when they landed, stayed that way despite being picked up, carried to the car (in the rain), buckled into his car seat, etc., etc.
Leif's habit of climbing out of bed and playing sounds like what I did as a child (and thought I was getting away with it, too).
Thought I should share: yesterday, I bought the Lord of the Rings trilogy - extended version.

So, you'll be sharing that by mailing it to us when?
I have been trying to share this cartoon with you for days:
Heh. "Wassup Terns."
Finally skimmed the previous thread and found Annabel pictures! So pretty in her Easter dress.
Downside of boys is no Easter bonnets.
