I've really got to learn to just do the damage and get out of town. It's the 'stay and gloat' that gets me every time.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

You're still warming her formula?

I mix it on an as-needed basis using lukewarm tap water.

I'm going to try a few new churches over the next month or so to see if I can find one that feels like a good fit. I like the church that I've been kind of going to, but it doesn't get me there, if that makes sense. I may go through this whole process then decide to just stay where I was at. But, at least then I'll know that's really where I'm supposed to be...

This is what happened to me--comparing my church to others helped me see the many good things about it and stop incessantly comparing it to my post-college church in Philly, which despite the conservative theology that would now keep me out of it, gave me the most active social life I'd ever had. Which may have just been a feature of being 24 and having plenty other 22-30-year-olds as company.

I'm getting the pig!

Nicole if you are around, can you get on AIM for a minute?

Sorry, doll. I was speeding down I-70 to get to a meeting.

For some reason, when I remember to set my clocks properly, it's some sort of invitation for my keys and my sunglasses to play an aggravating game of hide and seek.

Kate, that sucks. Obviously his loss.

What is even happening?

Oh Aimee, I'm sorry your morning is sucking out loud.

We haven't had an issues so far. Although I did end up with a gigantic, unopened can of Similac Advance w/iron at home. The last time I went to the store for formula, it was on sale for $4 cheaper than usual, so I bought two.
Which goes to say, any buffista mom with a baby still drinking that particular formula, ping me at my profile addy and I'll send it to you.
If there's no takers or the shipping makes it not worth it, a food pantry will probably be glad for it.
I'm pretending I got an extra hour's sleep with DST. I'm going to like the extra sunshine. I'm so glad we're not still in Indiana, who stubbornly refuse to recognize the value of an extra hour of daylight. I refuse to believe that it's the cows that have the trouble with the change.
Closet Buffyholic was mentioning this not too long ago, and I don't think just because the time of year was rolling around. Did the state legislature reconsider it, recently?

Cranky and menstrual here!

What is even happening?

Anxious and menstrual here, while simultaneously weaning myself off cigarettes, by smoking one less, each day.

Hey, Deena, did you end up with a lot of snow?

The weather here today is weird. Well, the sky is weird. It rained most of yesterday. Today it was supposed to rain, maybe even started to rain, then the sun came out. Now the sky is a real kind of freaky grey.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Finally! I have pictures of my new haircut!

Just a refresher -- this was my starting point: [link]

To this: Front, Side (a picture which looks like I'm thinking "What the hell is that bug on my ceiling?!?", Back, and just another Front view. I think I'm finally used to it.
