White chocolate mousse in an edible chocolate cup with fresh raspberry sauce.
Mmmm.
There's a restaurant near my neighborhood that serves the darkest, richest hot chocolate I've ever had. It's pure chocolatey goodness in a cup. And it comes with churros for dipping.
What are churros, Jess?
NARRATOR! You're like the Shadow, these days. Stay put, woman.
What are churros, Jess?
They're a kind of Spanish doughnut -- basically a log of fried dough sprinkled with sugar and/or cinnamon.
Recipe here
[etcorrect the origin of the churro.]
What's the best dessert you've ever had?
A bread pudding, believe it or not. With a rich creamy sauce with a couple of kinds of booze in it. Unfortunately, the restaurant that served it was closed when the University of Washington decided it had better uses for the property than renting it out to a restaurant, and I never heard that they found a new location.
Plei? Jilli? Anyone else in Seattle? If the Boat Street people are in business somewhere else now, PLEASE let me know. Because I'd love to have that bread pudding again someday, say when I get my first advance check.
The Red Sox got rained out, which is probably the best thing that's happened to them so far this week.
A seafood restaurant in the next town makes something called a fallen chocolate cake. It's hot, liquid inside, but more chocolatey than it is sweet, served hot (in a little custard cup or souffle dish or whatever), with freshly whipped cream on top.
Oooh. That's known as Chocolate Muck-Muck at one of the local restaurants. Mmmm, Chocolate Muck-Muck.
Boy is my memory bad. I can remember several instances of taking a bite of some dessert and having my eyes roll back in my head in ecstasy, but do I remember what said desserts were or where I had them? No. Of course not. That would be far to useful.
Well, Kristen Bell
is
very cute.
Also, I'm getting the impression that you don't much like
Duncan.
I'm really not sure where I'm getting that.
I love the theories I'm reading here. . . if you guys are into spoiler's lite there is an episode title in that thread that I think may be a clue.
What do you think?
What's the best dessert you've ever had?
I'm possiibly sappy enough to say my wedding cake. (Which was good -- white cake with strawberry filling and white chocolate icing.) That aside? I love the heath bar-coffee cheesecake at the Cheesecake factory. I only get it once a year or so, but it is SO GOOD.
" Hi, shrift! What in the hell does '42' mean? We need an answer by close of business."
"Hello, random hoopy person! I cannot answer your question until you provide proof of towel ownership!"
I need that message....
I knew you would understand.
Boston Cream Pie is the ultimate dessert. Duncan is the Antichrist.
Both these problems are solved.
