Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

It looks like The Dallas Morning News is going to need a new layout editor: [link]

That is So. Damn. Funny!!! You know the people doing layout had a field day with those articles.

Now tagless for your comfort.

we should be allowed to kick George Lucas in the butt until he releases nice, sharp DVDs of the not-monkeyed-with originals.

You get the car, I'll bring the steel-toed boots.

Reporting for duty, sir!

I'll bring the snacks!

Ah, Serenity trailer!

OK, I thought I was having some bizarro traffic dream this morning as I tried to sleep through my alarm.

Apparently not: Where the buffalo roooooam

ps: you must look at the slideshow. There's a leaping shot that is just hilarious.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Our mail doesn't get delivered if there's a car parked close to the mailbox. Our neighbor's car is so parked. Am I obnoxious and annoying if I ask them to move it? It's not like I'm awaiting a check or anything, but I am kinda expecting a contest entry back and my favorite writers' magazine.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Grumble, grumble...in a vain attempt to read all the Agatha nominees before Malice Domestic(the mystery con where Agathas are given out) occurs this weekend, I requested two books via Marina.(Interlibrary loan covering all Maryland public libraries). Got e-mail from Marina on Friday, went to library on Sunday, only to be told the books weren't there. I checked Marina today to find that the books had already been returned. I don't know whose screw-up this is, but I'm annoyed.(The possibilities are, whoever was supposed to deliver the books to my library, if they never got there, my library, if the books got there but they nver sent me an e-mail, or my ISP, if the e-mail was sent but bounced.) Sigh...

Our wings are not tired.

Sorry for the frustration Sheryl.

Skipping to the end to see if anyone has heard if Burrell has delivered yet.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

This is just weird...

A 19-year-old African-American student at Trinity International University has been charged with sending racially inflammatory hate mail to her classmates, prompting last week's evacuation of minority students from the north suburban school.

Alicia Hardin of Chicago was charged with disorderly conduct and committing a hate crime for allegedly writing threatening letters to other African-American students.

The letters were written in an attempt to convince her parents to let her withdraw from Trinity, Lake County Assistant State's Atty. Matthew Chancey said. Hardin lived on the Bannockburn campus, was unhappy there and wanted to transfer to Jackson State University in Jackson, Miss., he said.

"By writing these notes, we believe she wanted to have her mother believe (Trinity) was an unsafe environment," Chancey said.

You know what? I freak out being "sold-to." Bad consumer.

I'm tired now. Have ideas, but am tired. And am getting too many emails from mortgage people.

Maybe if I hide under the bed.
