JoA:
Kevin and SurferNun!Lilly should totally hook up. They could move in to together. We could see them at Thanksgiving. Or maybe they could be sailing that boat. At Christmas.
Rove...
my boy Rove is on the cusp. I'll separate my love of how the actor has played him, somehow, from the influence of Ryan/the script. If Joan will be battling Ryan for Rove's immortality, I am not on board.
If Joan is trying to pull Ryan over, via Rove ... I can get into that.
Little House on the Prarie. Fucking hell.
Is my time machine out of fuel, again? Frell!
I believe that is what happened in the book.
Also, I agree about the
wind machine
but love
Joan's family
and can't believe that
Rove would just be there, as a regular part of the group so
quickly. I am also pleased that
"the adversary" is just another human who has chosen to not listen to god.
Gah, now I am confuzzled. Ryan is
WindmachineBoy,
and Rove is
ArtistCutie
, right? Otherwise, elsewise.
Gus I think sumi mentioned
Rove (Adam) being with the group so quickly--because of his cheating on Joan. He's played brilliantly. That's why I want to whack him. Ryan is the "connection" who has decided he didn't love God any more.
I really liked that Joan called God
Ya Ya when she was little. It made me think "Yahweh" and I think Ya-Ya also a name for a Greek grandmother, and somehow, that worked for me, too (even though I'm not Greek, and Joan appears to be Italian + Generic White American--possibly Irish).
Ugh. Headache. In-laws & sprog gone. My own sprog are off to my mother's. I am going to go lie down on the couch and feel sorry for myself, because this cold is trying to kill me. I think dh wants to watch JoA again.
t hugs up on Cindy's cold, to distract it from bedeviling Cindy
I still like my boy Rove (Adam). The group let him back in because they know that adolescent boy + willing babe has an inescapable conclusion.
(JoA) I also made the connection between
Ya-Ya and grandma -- and isn't there a folkloric Russian witch named something like Babayaya
?
Not quite
JoA:
Baba Yaga. A hut on stilts, iron teeth...
Wait...
The G -vs- S thing is getting all out of wack, here.
A hut on stilts
On chicken legs, actually.
