I have had a lovely day. I had cake, and brunch, and dinner at CPK, and I hung out with cool people and I had a nap. I wish I could just go to sleep again right now, but unfortunately this silly homework thing is just bringing me down. Also, I should probably shower off the random bits of sand and sunscreen that are still stuck to me, but the sunburn I have makes me feel like that would kind of suck.
I am glowing red right now, though. So sunburned.
Alibelle, JZ and I were talking about you last night as we drove home because she was listening to Prairie Home Companion and a running joke on that show are little bumpers and jingles for the Ketchup Advisory Board.
I'm a tinch sunburnt myself. But not too badly. The soy lotion is close-ish to helping.
I had no idea there was a ketchup advisory board. Awesome.
I swear I get redder and redder with each passing second. Luckily, it's not crazy painful, just rather uncomfortable, and it's kind of chilly tonight, so the extra warmth is kind of welcome.
Those two comments are unrelated.
Hec -- that's great news about your book! This must mean that it's available again, right? Or will this new thing kill distribution, again? (I have like three people I want to buy copies for -- including myself!)
Personally, I think it's perfectly acceptable to say "No gifts" -- that way you've been clear and it's not your fault if people don't believe you.
Hope everyone had a good Easter. We had unexpectedly beautiful weather and a friend gave me a lovely Easter basket chockful of goodies. I had to brush my teeth to prevent myself from eating more Dove Chocolate Easter Eggs.
so I come into the computer room - to catch up . and I here voices. which freaks me out. Turns out, my computer speakers are picking up some CB's . or else it is those beepbeep phones
now we are thinking short wave. I heard the word houseboat.
so far they have complained about the rain and now they are talking about the Ford Escape Hybrid...
That's very creepy, beth.
the creepy part is me listening. sounds like one of the guys - the one I can't hear - had a wife die some time ago. the dads are talking about raising thier daughters...
