Zoe: What's that, sir? Mal: Freedom, is what. Zoe: No, I meant what's that? Mal: Oh. Yeah. Just step around it. I think something must've been living in here.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The first part of that is not only in character for this season, it's a dead horse.

GG - all the stuff that stupidhead Dean was saying to Luke made NO SENSE to me. Lorelai loves Stars Hollow and has chosen to make it her home. Christopher has never shown that he is in any way "better" except that he comes from a family with money.

The buying the house stuff as something he is doing FOR her seems odd and out of character to me. BUT, I can totally see that he has wanted this house for years and has pictured it being the house he would have a family in, nothing connected to his relationship with Lorelai, and I can see her not being able to see the differences and folks like nosy Mr. Busybody mayor guy making it all worse.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

But Tom, I haven't seen him believe it this season. That's why I wondered.

Still, he looks good in that shirt.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

I find Alex and Lynn to be pretty assy, so I was pleased they were gone. Gretchen really bugged me at the beginning, but they crack me UP- they aren't warm and fuzzy oldsters. they are cranky and funny and snappish and I think pretty tough. (I have no idea why I whitefonted that last bit, oh well). I find the teams in the end stretch, so much more palatable than the last go-around. It's SO much more fun to watch. Also, I love me some Boston Rob, so it's fun on that level as well. I totally heart Joyce & Uchenna. Also, they are both Teh Hott.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

GG last night was curiously flat. The whole Paris thing was frankly watch-from-the-hall moment for me. WTF? And the hints at L/L fallout seemed heavy-handed to the extreme. As for the Logan/Rory bit... well, color me unsurprised.

Veronica Mars, on the other hand, continues to rock my world in all the best ways. It's my favorite thing on TV right now, and it kills me that so few people are watching. Although, second season, yay!

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Is Dean really that stupid?

I'd have to say yes. I need him to be gone from the show, like, months ago.

Luke looks good, period.

I wish I could be less shallow, but I've wanted Gretchen & Meredith eliminated for WEEKS now, purely on the basis of her voice. The constant whiny screeching is just too much. I think they've been very good racers, but OH MY GOD THAT VOICE.

Jessica, I'm worse than you - take all you said, but I don't think they have been that good. I think she is pretty bad in fact and they have gotten lucky.

Speaking of voice (and I'm not saying which whitefont does), as I was listening to an especially grating voice the other day, I was trying to work out if the voice grates because I dislike the person, or I dislike the person because the voice grates. I'm going with a), just because I've never stopped liking a person because I heard their voice.

Still, it just channels a lot into the aural response, and it makes me want to dismember.
