Oh, at first it was confusing. Just the idea of computers was like — whoa! I'm eleven hundred years old! I had trouble adjusting to the idea of Lutherans.

The Manolo wonders: the pope -- separated at birth? ::snerk::

I gotta stop listening to the Pixies and go to bed, damn it.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

And I'm watching a Hollow Men episode in which they just made a joke about Lincoln.

Okay, it was about Lincoln being caught in the act of sodomy, but I'm oversensitive to assassinated-president references now.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Has anyone mentioned that the Lincoln Library opened today?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sarah Vowell was on the Letterman rerun last night, I think.

I have a plan.

There's a whole bit on the 'Incredibles' DVD that Sarah Vowell has where she talks about her book.

Edited, because I got confused.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

The TAR whitefont has made me TiVo it.

Emmett's dinner: half pint of raspberries (very ripe and in season); roast chicken, half ruby grapefruit, pumpkin pie and milk.

He was going nuts over the raspberries. I urge you all to take advantage of seasonal fruit.

ita, I've been meaning to ask, did the glass bowls survive me taking them to the car?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

They did, Perkins, and also survived me carrying them to the apartment. It might be a while before I unpack the box, though.

Got my cheque from the old landlords. They deducted ~$100 in underpaid rent. I have a beef with that, but no urge to actually talk to them. Pfft.

Oh good. Pfft to your landlord.
