Oh, Pacey! You blind idiot. Can't you see she doesn't love you?

Well, last week Kelly had that redneck hayseed line.

TV whiplash again. Now Frontline's airing of a dramatized version of the investigation for a program they aired in the late 70s/early 80s, "Death of a Princess" about a Saudi princess executed for adultery.

Lord, I know how to pick 'em.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

TAR: SO glad that Joyce & Uchenna came in first. I have a feeling they were actually further ahead than the editing made it look, but DAMN, that was tense. She looks beautiful bald. I want them to win.

Kelly is an annoying little twit, and I can't figure her out. Her outbursts are so random and insane that I half-suspect the producers are feeding her lines to make it look like they're fighting, just because the couples on this race have been so stable and well-adjusted.

"Death of a Princess" was a BBC program. Frontline's just covering it.

I don't know the exact convolutions. This is a dramatization of the original investigation that lead to the airing of coverage way back when. Entirely possible it is a BBC original drama.

Note: This film cannot be video streamed because Internet rights are not available.

HA. This film cannot be video streamed because someone wouldn't PAY for the internet rights, they mean.

(And I should really stop talking about my job, because I like using my real name.)

[eta: The BBC made a TV-movie about the actual events, for which they got in HUGE trouble with the Saudi government, at which point everyone and their mother and their mother's news network got in on the action covering the controversy. But the BBC started it. Those controversial rascals.]

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Hi Jessica! We're in the same city.

Yay us!

Yeah, I have no idea if this is the original from that period or what. Probably considering the fashions are horribly accurate. Which is an appalling observation to make given the topic, but...

There was an intro over the whole huge fuss when the predecessor to Frontline (WORLD) aired something but I wasn't paying close attention.

It is. I didn't know they were airing the whole thing, though. (My department only handles clips.)]

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Julia thinks you speak actual French, just by putting on the sort of chi chi accent with which you might hear a French cartoon character speak.

You know, I know someone else who thinks this, and her name is msbelle.

Jessica, I'd call 311 to double-check on the jury duty thing.

I am all jacked up on Diet Coke, which a friend brought me in class because another friend told her to as a joke. God forbid I could have just not drank it.
