Wash: I didn't think you were one for rituals and such. Mal: I'm not, but it'll keep the others busy for a while. No reason to concern them with what's to be done.

Ann, that's a ferret.

the starwars crap made me unreasonable and violently hate them

I almost threw up in my mouth a little when I saw the in-store M&Ms ad with the SW tie-in yesterday.

Are you kidding.

It's going to make me actually start wishing for a hurricane. Or freak April blizzard. Because that totally sends local news around the bend, so much so that if you don't have cable (I don't) you'd think the whole planet gave a shit over the flooding on Pratt Street.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Are you kidding. There's the life story of the new Pope and what-it-means-for-the-church stories galore to saturate the airwaves with.

Not just the life story of the new Pope, but an inspiring life story. Like, how he grew up in a humble environment, and... I don't know - cured all the stray cats of leprosy or something....

Wait, proto-Popes generally don't do miracles, do they?

If I only had a brain...

If it's Ratzinger, he is SO going to saint JPII by acclamation.

If I only had a brain...

Also, if it's Ratzinger, his inspiring youth includes service in the Hitlerjugend (then mandatory) and service in the Nazi army manning anti-aircraft guns.

Coding and Sleeping

Wait, proto-Popes generally don't do miracles, do they?

I'm pretty sure they do miracles, and it looks good on the paplication. The Italian canidates probably have a bunch of miracles and get surly with some non-Italian who gets nominated with only a couple of card-tricks under their belt.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

We had big traffic snarl-ups in Chicago this morning because of the image of the Virgin Mary that apparently is masquerading as water damage on an underpass.
