It's good to have cargo. Makes us a target for every other scavenger out there, though, but sometimes that's fun too.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay, for reference, I've added the previous iteration of this design.

The slab and metal frame & roof are 40'x60'. The internal dimensions of phase one are more or less 900 sq ft.

Swouncing

Poking head to post that, according to the Buffista Calendar, today is Sheryl's birthday. Happy birthday, Sheryl! With lots of wishes for a great day and a wonderful year!

And I'm running out again. It's almost like I only skip these days, sigh.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Sorry for the drunken ramblings. We have reached more coherent part of the evening. Apologies all around.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I thought the drunken ramblings were rather cute. Sounds like it was a fun evening.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Happy Birthday, Sheryl!!!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Happy Birthday, Sheryl!

I'm glad to see that ND and some other good peoples had a great birthday with him.

The birds are all a-twitter in my backyard, I mean, seriously, like they're having a competition or something. Well, maybe they are....

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Happy Birthday, Sheryl!

I tried out Memphis' only Columbian restaurant last night, but ended up being pretty disappointed. It's this really neat little place with tropical foilage, Christmas lights, and fake parrots all over the walls and ceiling and piped-in salsa music. However, the food was distinguishable from that at a Denny's or Shoney's only by dint of the fact that they served a lime slice with the chicken and fries. I may have been hampered by the waitress and myself having a linguistic overlap of four words—"pollo" and "gracias" on my part and "thank you" on hers—but there didn't seem to be anything particularly exotic or spicy on the menu.

Also mildly annoyed that department stores seem to have stopped carrying cheap folding plastic lounge chairs. I want to get something to lie on so suntanning won't involve a reinactment of Leiningen versus the Ants, but I'd really prefer to avoid paying $200 for some piece of non-collapsible furniture that I don't have room to store.
