A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

Why, thanks, doll...although I reserve the right to be as replete with crap as the next person.

It should be in the Bill of Rights!

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

If only I'd seen your post before I left, and maybe I'd be over hooking up your phone.

I believe you too.

Puts away the Patron and the sugar cubes.

I think I'm going to add going to the Verizon store to my list of things to do before I meet Burrell and family at 10:00 tomorrow. So far, I'm up to 4.

ChiKat, the y thing isn't bad per se, it's just that generally if you're labelling x and y, you do x on the horizontal and y on the vertical, in my experience at least. You don't have to, it's just the convention.

ETA: You may call me Emily, abuser of commas.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Tom, did you hear they're threatening to do away with the Purple express trains?

Yeah. I don't take the express portion of it too often, but still - they're talking about hour-long waits for most of the bus lines. It's insane. So we're gonna have tons of poor and low-income people who can't make it to work, and much worse traffic congestion?

Oooh, Patron...

I've got to try the tequila and sugar cube thing.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

You don't have to, it's just the convention.

Maybe they should put it in the FAQ.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

SA and I took the Purple Line from Davis to Howard and then Red Line further south last weekend. I can't imagine doing that in the morning before work. If I still lived in Evanston where I used to (near the Central stop), I would definitely be driving in to work every day. Sucks.

They're threatening a lot of the express bus routes, too, including my beloved 135, but I do have a lot more options from here.

What really bugs is that this city has the best public transit of any place I've lived, bar none, and I hate to see that tossed aside. Hopefully the state will step up.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

JZ, you can be like us and file for the automatic extension. We just don't trust our brains to have actually computed the taxes right with the baby on the way. Well that and I hate watching DH run out frantically trying to get the thing posted at the airport.

Next year, we are getting an accountant. Of course, I say that every year, but this time, what with the mortgage and all, I think it'll stick.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Intergalactic, planetary -- planetary intergalactic.

I need to get that out of my head. Watching Andromeda isn't helping. Watching Andromeda never helps anything. Well, except that I can alert DXMachina that Lexa Doig is properly back, and she brought extra boobies with her, and left some costume behind.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I think that if the guy you voted for lost and you don't think the guy in office is doing a good job, you shouldn't have to pay.
