Are you ready to be strong?

Four months away, isn't it?

OMG! Yes! Now I'm scared all over again.

MFNlaw, why's it up to you to make sure they get their clothes?

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Phil Laak, Rio. The Unabomber!

Shouldn't that be the Unabetter?

I think Allyson should get showered and on the road before someone calls her and sings obnoxious wake-up songs.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Finally I told them I'm through with the prodding. Just don't show up to the wedding naked.

Then you're good. You have officially discharged your responsibility and the mothers' outfits are now their problem. If you expend one more particle of energy upon any concern for their attire, I shall fly to DC and thwap you.

Anyone else need an ass-kicking? Anyone?

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

hmmm, maybe I won't watch this week's OC. Maybe it will go the way of The West Wing, Desperate Housewives, and Lost and get dumped this season.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Sandy's still a peach, Julie's hysterical (and was quite touching too), Seth and Ryan -- are being Seth and Ryan. Marissa still needs a bra, but not as badly as last week.

Are you ready to be strong?

I think Julie's better than ever this season.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

why's it up to you to make sure they get their clothes?

Because neither one will do it unless acted upon by an outside influence. His mother won't pick hers until my mother chooses her dress, for not!clashing purposes. I don't care what they wear, but someone had to attempt to stop the vicious cycle of indecision.

Someone who isn't you. Pass it off to your DF or your MOH if you really must have someone prodding them, or just go all HHGTTG and officially designate it Somebody Else's Problem and thus completely invisible to you.

Whatever they wear or don't, nobody will think a bit less of you for their choices or lack of same; and whatever they wear or don't will have absolutely ZERO effect on the validity of either the wedding or the marriage. If at the end of that day you and DF are legally and sacramentally united and you get to run off and spend the rest of your lives together, the rest is gravy. Doesn't matter if your mom and MIL wear identical puce dresses, or lavender pantsuits with giant hats, or nothing but their birthday suits and matching ostrich-feather cootch curtains. Their indecisiveness is not your problem.

Seriously. It's an SEP. Block it out or delegate it or I'm'a kick your ass.
