The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

Hil, I think I just threw up in my mouth a lot.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

I'm a democrat and I'm against people of faith who are idiots. Does that count?

I watched no primetime TV last night because I was busy convincing Randy Johnson to allow home runs. (It worked.)

P.S. Welcome, Eddie! Or, like, just a regular hello because I think you have been around and I just have not seen you what with my offboard franticness.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Me too, Anne. (Hey, you should be getting a package any day now.)

ita, ouch.

Burrell, I was asleep by the time you posted. Sunday is good.

I got the package last night! Thank you!

What sickens me is that a lot of people are going to look at that conference as evidence that Frist, et. al. have the 'courage of their convictions' and not that they're using faith as a political marketing tool.

brillig

Huh, I thought they silted up and rusted out years ago.

Who here knew that there were pumps on the Great Salt Lake to pump the overflow into the western desert? A tale from the days when rivers ran down the main streets of our capital city.

Art Crawl!!!

ita -- that is my take on things OC too. However, what I want to know is why everyone is assuming that somebody had to give that girl drugs. Surely, she could have brought them herself? Isn't she one of the anonymous group of party-seekers that appeared at the Cooper-Nichols front door?

I had bookclub last night and chose to tape Tru rather than c.s.i. Mostly because I figure that c.s.i. will repeat and Tru won't.

Ann, that's a ferret.

So yesterday the credit card bill came in. I looked things over, and I saw several transactions with a company whose name I didn't recognize. I called the company, and they asked if I'd ever heard of a Wendy P_______ (not my last name).

I don't know anybody named Wendy. I can't even remember the last time I met anybody named Wendy.

So I called the bank. They closed my account and said they'd send me a new card.

I also have to make a couple of calls when I get the new card, because I made a couple of regular monthly payments on the old card.

So far, it looks like (knock wood, cross fingers) the inconvenience will be minor.

Coding and Sleeping

Organizers say they hope to reach more than a million people by distributing the telecast to churches around the country,...

Wouldn't showing that in a church be a violation of their tax status?

I think the mid-term elections are going to be really ugly. I think "activist" judges and gays are going to be the big issues somehow. Unless we attack Iran, on second thought, no somehow they will still be the big issues. I think that's the reason the marriage admendent has faded away for now, to come back just in time for elections.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That sounds great, Fred. How ... potentially horrible.

Sumi -- that was definitely my backup thought. Also, arresting a minor as "owner of the house"? Odd.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

What a pain the ass, Fred. Actually, that reminds me I should check on my Macy's card fraud...

ita! You're so tough. Good timing, though, right? A Thursday night always seems like the good time for things like this, because you can legitimately miss a day of work, but not have to go back right after that. If that makes any sense.
