I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Can I apply to become a misanthropist?

Did you throw your Swingline stapler at him? If so, you've passed the qualifying exam.

On the subject of bad milk, this is one area where I err on the side of caution. Usually milk smells bad to me before the sell by date, and I'm paranoid about bad milk.

No bad experiences or nothing, I just don't like the idea of drinking bad milk. I can't watch the scene in the middle of Minority Report for many, many reasons.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I can't watch the scene in the middle of Minority Report for many, many reasons.

#1: It's in the middle of Minority Report.

I enjoy some of the titles of papers the philosophical zombie author lists at the bottom, this run of three being my favorite:

"Why and how we are not zombies"
"Revenge of the zombies"

"You can't argue with a zombie"

Also, I'm not sure I'm actually lactose intolerant, but I buy Lactaid milk, because the stuff lasts forever. Expiration date and experience tell me so.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

That zombie article is great. I should probably mention that Daniel Dennett is a freakin' giant in the field of philosophy of mind (in fact, I imagine that most philosophers would agree that he's easily the greatest living practitioner), and it does my heart good to know that he's spending his time arguing about zombies.

On another note, I should also point out that The Zombies' Odyssey and Oracle is a great lost masterpiece.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Jumping way ahead (and then going back to read) to say I made it to Belmont, and have already found a Starbucks, 2 grocery stores, 2 gas stations, a liquor store, and my neighbor's internet connection. (Not necessarily in that order.) The movers are here, and I am never moving again.

The time is 1:53pm. Now bored beyond all recognition. Applying caffeine to no effect. No further demonic voices issuing from previously docile computer equipment. All quiet on the midwestern front.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Yay, Perkins!

I hope the move-in goes well
