I've never done karaoke. Every time I even vaguely contemplate it, I start brooding about how much my voice has gone downhill since my long-ago music classes.
::really really wants to see Jilli do karaoke. Something blithe and wicked, maybe, like a Disney villain song.::

Ooooh, villain songs ... Which reminds me, I must buy the Little Mermaid soundtrack off of iTunes tonight, because I have this strange urge to hear "Poor Unfortunate Souls".
I have never done karaoke, but because I am a Be Prepared kind of girl, I spend time thinking about what songs (A) have a little tiny range and (B) are likely to be widely available (because otherwise I would sing "The Internet Is For Porn"). My best candidate is "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry".
I think that color would be nice, Alibelle.
I would also love to see Jilli doing Karaoke.
Hec, however, has a memory that won't quit. I'm not sure I would do it in front of him. Embarrassment in front of Hec could be forevah.
(But me, too, Hec.)

See, that's the big problem right there. I'm pretty sure there aren't a lot of goth karaoke collections.
So, that finger in the chili ...
I figure it's just part of a murder coverup. Because, really, it must be easier to hide a murder than just the loss of a finger on the job. Or it could be leprosy, and the leper didn't realise until they went home.
I love the headlines:
- Diner puts a finger on what's wrong with the chili
- Wendy's Introduces Low-Carb Cannibalism
- Finger-licking good? California Wendy's serves chili con digit
- Distasteful finger food
And my favorite ...
- Woman Claims She Found Finger In Her Chili
Because maybe it's not really a finger. Or she didn't find it in the chili.

Soylent Green crack on the first page of google news hits. I'm disappointed.
goth karaoke
I'm moving to Seattle and opening this bar. Jilli can help me decorate and choose songs.
Ursula's song was definitely what I was thinking about, Jilli.
Here's one for DXM (or any fan of subtlety, pacing, mastery and narrative). A lovely piece about Vin Scully.
I've never done karaoke. I'm not shy, or subject to stage fright, but I don't sing in front of people. My kids hear my morning showtunes and Brendon and I sing LOUD to vintage rock in the car to torture the children. Other than those exceptions I only sing when I am alone. Singing is a private thing for me. This probably won't change unless I go through some type of delayed middle aged crazy thing.
