But that's just my point! You she obeys! She obeys you! There's obeying going on right under my nose!

That's the pain / That cuts a straight line down through the heart / We call it love

Hey everyone. Congratulations, Sue!

I went to an information session last night for the library school I'm applying to for the fall. I can't believe I'm (probably) going back to school.

I'm watching the Sox/Yankees game on NESN and they have James Taylor on and the commentator says, "I hear you live out west now, James." JT says "Yes, that's true. I live in Lennox, Mass."

You small-y yankees are weird.

Heh. I had to read this a couple of times through before I understood the weirdness. I grew up in Eastern Mass. and now live in Western Mass., and to me the above exchange makes perfect sense.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I'm looking at news headlines, and this one is dying for better punctuation: Jackson Begged to Sleep with Boy-Child's Mother. I mean, right? It should be a colon, or at least a dash-not-a-hyphen. MJ was begging to sleep with the kid, says the mother.

Mine too.

Our mothers were sick sick sick people. Cruel. Evil. Twisted.

In the mornings, at least.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Congratulations, SUe, on both the finishing and the free day!

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Well, but JT has always been a western Mass. guy. Like, I wouldn't know what the last exit on the Pike is, except he names it in "Sweet Baby James." (Stockbridge.)

What's more salient is that Lenox is the chi-chi town of western Mass. Not that JT would necessarily fit in in Greenfield or Belchertown.

Those rings the Red Sox gave out are ENORMOUS. Like, I know, male athletes, big hands, big fingers, but -- the top of the ring, where the logo fits, is easily wider around than a $0.50 piece. It is practically a demitasse saucer. I spent some time wondering who wears rings so big they wouldn't fit into an eyesocket, till I realized that was kind of a creepy comparison to make.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Mine too.

Our mothers were sick sick sick people. Cruel. Evil. Twisted.

Mine three. I laughed until I cried at this Tomato Nation essay, because it's like her mother and mine exchanged notes.

Trust my rage

I'm looking at news headlines, and this one is dying for better punctuation: Jackson Begged to Sleep with Boy-Child's Mother. I mean, right?

I had to read the headline 2-3 times before it made any sense to me. I was thinking "He wanted to sleep with his mother, too?"
