Just popping in to let you people know I popped my karaoke cherry last night. I sang. In public. For the first. time. ever.
Peggy Lee's "Fever" should you be dying of curiosity to know my first.

Alibelle, you can use Natural Instincts which is only semi-permanent and will wash out if you don't like it.
I'm thinking about dying my hair. I kind of want it to look like Nicole Kidman's in Practical Magic, kind of golden red. But I'm scared, since I've never permanently dyed my hair before, and I don't want to have to deal with root issues. Also, I like my hair, which is another reason I've never dyed it. But I'm ready for some kind of change, and I have committment issues, so a tattoo is out.
Also, I can help since you have sooper long hair, if you'd like. You are back in LA, yes?

Despite the semi-perm claims, it's not. It's a no-lift, deposit only demi-perm. Same technology as your regular hair color, but with lower levels of peroxide, etc. Anything darker or redder than your natural hair will just fade rather than wash out completely, and if you have enough of a change, you will have an obvious rootline.
Mmm, Heather doing "Fever." This is good to contemplate.
I will just have to substitute Foreigner's "Urgent" in place of Spin Doctors whilst imagining Scrappy chair dance.
I am currently in possession of the world's most declicious, decadent and thoroughly pretty cheesecake. Meyer Lemon cheesecake with huckleberries on top from Slanted Door. OMG. Insane goodness.
Slanted Door now has a takeout counter. I am doomed to incredibly tasty food.
Thanks! I am back in LA, Aimee. I was thinking of going to a salon, and having it done, but maybe I should just play with semi-permanent stuff instead. Hmmm.

'Twas strange. I'm not a horribly shy person, but I do not sing in public. I think that if I'm not absolutely sure I can do something well, I just don't do it where other people can see me.
It was kinda fun though, and people clapped! I don't think I'd do any other song though. That one's a good one for smokers.
My song of choice for Karaoke is Copacabana.
Even done badly that song tends to be a crowd pleaser.
I'm really just all about pleasing a crowd.
I would totally clap for Heather. And that is a very fun song.
