Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Perkins, I am so bummed we missed it as well. I had a house full of in-laws, and seeing as how they were all doing work for us, we took them out for dinner as a thank you.

Today I am just pooped. I can't handle two active days in a row, at least not for the next few weeks. (Speaking of inactivity, it's naptime soon.)

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I figured as much, Burrell. It sounds like you had a lot going on.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

DAVID SMAY: I pimped your book out to someone who wrote down the title, so I bet he actually looks it up. Yr welcome.

Thanks, Jesse. I owe you a kickback. And or the drink of your choice.

Phew, long day here. Left the house at 10:45am to get to Emmett's game. 11:30 for warmups/practice. Game at 12:30. Emmett spent the whole game in right field, and acquitted himself very well, by making a running catch in the outfield (our first out on a fly ball this season), then making a strong throw into the catcher which resulted in a rundown and out. He also hit well, beating out an infield single in the first inning, stealing second and coming home on a base hit. His other two at-bats were line drive outs.

The team played very well at times and we built up an early lead 4-0. Then it all unraveled in one inning, and we coughed up the lead. We tied them back up, and then they had a second big inning to ice the game.

It was a weird mix of surprising comptency (We got the force out at Third! We did a rundown!) and total Keystone Cops out there. But almost every player had at least one moment of glory. One of the two girls on our team, Ellen, had a big shiner from our last practice where she tried to catch a fly ball with her face. But she had a huge hit early in the game that brought in a run. Anyway, it was a fun game. Especially seeing Emmett completely at ease on the field and contributing.

I can't even.

I was at a baseball game today, but it was Jays and Red Sox. Good seats first base side, but once again, the dome wasn't open. No idea why because the weather was perfect here all weekend, but maybe it is the league and the earlyness of the year.

It was a fun game, Boston fans were into it, but not obnoxious the way Yankee fans are, and Ted Lilly pitched well. The Jays had a two-run lead going into the ninth, but the converted closer Batista coughed it up. Then the O-Dog, our light-hitting second baseman hit a walkoff double with a man aboard in the bottom of the ninth, and the Jays took 2 of 3 from the defending champs, and had the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth in the game they lost. Good scrappy competitiveness from the home team, which is nice to see.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I owe you a kickback. And or the drink of your choice.

Right on, man.

Boston fans were into it, but not obnoxious the way Yankee fans are

Yeah! In your FACE, Yankees fans! Goddamned Yankees. Remember when they lost last year? That was great. t /living in New York, but still a Bostonian at heart

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

PERKINS!!!

I know I've been overdoing things when I look forward to a flight as time to rest. But it was the only non-nighttime rest I've had to anticipate in what feels like weeks.

Just back from Vancouver where I hung out with my best friend, her family (including 3 year old) and a bunch of her friends.

I'm tired again, though.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Boston fans were into it, but not obnoxious the way Yankee fans are

You've obviously never sat in the bleachers at Fenway.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

I'm not feeling the love for Robot Chicken tonight. Even with the Real World: Metropolis bit.

But -- OMGWTF SHIRTLESS SETH GREEN! With dogs! In black and white!

People in other time zones, it's the program break immediately after Robot Chicken is over.
