Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Trust me. No woman in transition in the HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE has ever refused to push.

I went on a pushing strike after two hours of pushing on my back when they made me turn on my side and expected me to be able to push that way. I was exhausted, and didn't understand why they wouldn't let me at least TRY one of the positions I wanted to be in, and I just couldn't do it anymore, so I stopped. I wasn't very communicative at that point, so fortunately DH noticed and told the midwife she had to think of something else because I had nothing left in the tank. I'm not sure where I was WRT transition, though, what with Annabel getting stuck the way she did.

I was even planning to incorporate a version of the experience into my novel, since it's among my more vivid memories from late in labor.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Pilot for 2006?

UNTITLED JONATHAN BAKER/VICTORIA FULLER PROJECT (VH1, New!) - Much-ballyhooed "Amazing Race 6" contestants Jonathan Baker and Victoria Fuller have reportedly completed filming a pilot for a potential reality series at the cable channel. Said project, which is under consideration for as early as the fall, will track the pair through their post-"Race" fame including their home life. "Basically it's John and I, and the arc of fame, from going on a reality show, being dumped off on the end, and what happens when you come out on the other side," Fuller told The New York Daily News.

Remember the good old days of Real World San Francisco where people were trying for general exposure? Or to catapult into other bits of showbiz?

Somehow there was a transition from evil little games to labor. I missed it in a surreal sort of way.

I'm finally home and whiney. My leg hurts for no apparent reason. It is probably going to swell up and fall off.

BUT...I just reconciled my checkbook for the first time in a month and whoo, I have money. 2 paychecks and both refunds do that. (I can't get to my paystub easily, so every so often I check my bank account online to figure out what they are paying me. This is the whine in my but) Time to shuffle dollars around.

Also, I had an a&w burger. Mmm. But they took for.ev.er ( that's the whine.)

NOOOOOO! They need to fade into obscurity!

You might have compartment syndrome. Or leprosy. Or ... damn, I must be tired. I'm out of afflictions.

They need to fade into obscurity!

I agree, and I have no idea who they are.

Exactly.

Huh. Just read an article on the border that (I think) offhandedly mentions krav. Why I feel compelled to tell you this, I don't know.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Thanks for the headds-up on Grey's Anatomy. I liked the last one I saw, so the premiere will probably be a fun watch.

Did we known that Les Moonves married Julie Chen late last year? [link]

Suddenly, the Chenbot's continued employment makes much more sense.

What is even happening?

You might have compartment syndrome. Or leprosy. Or ... damn, I must be tired. I'm out of afflictions.

What about an infected haematoma?
