I was being cranky about the childbirth scene on Lost, which I had to download after a tragic TiVo malfunction.
Trust me. No woman in transition in the HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE has ever refused to push.

refused to push
BWHA Betsy! IIRC, the need to push is great and not really a yes/no choice.
I didn't so much refuse to push during transistion, as I was asleep and just didn't. But then, I had drugs, which I'm guessing there were none on Lost.
DAWN! Do we see you tomorrow???
as I was asleep
Ohhh I wish I could have slept! But no -- no sleep, no drugs the first time... ugh!
Do we see you tomorrow
I'm there, baby! I can't wait to see Emma (you and MM too!)
The need to push was great, but the energy to do so was not so great. My doctor was like a drill sergeant. She kept shouting at me to push. Bitch. I kept telling Mom I didn't want to do this.
(I get the biggest kick out of being able to talk birth now. Me = craxy)
YAY DAWN!
I kept telling Mom I didn't want to do this.
That's how you know it's transition.
But did you tell her you didn't want the baby born? I don't THINK so. I didn't necessarily want to be associated with it, but I sure the hell wanted it out of there.
Aimee -- hee!
