His stories always seem sort of shoehorned in to me
Yes, he's the wacky friend from left field who always seems to be around. Thank you Kozmo Kraemer (sp?). In real life he's a much funnier person and not quite so effeminate as he seems to be on the show.
This may be the most Buffista-ish call to activism the ACLU has ever sponsored:
Host a "couch party":
In Washington, self-appointed arbiters of morality are targeting cable programs with new rules that jeopardize our most basic personal and creative freedoms.
Please take the time to invite a few friends and get involved this weekend. Whether it's "South Park," "The Sopranos," "Sex and the City," or another cable show likely to show up on the FCC's black list, you probably have a show that you care about, and would like to see safe from an ill-conceived invasion into artistic expression and private life.
To stop this invasive and creeping censorship we need to make our voices heard. We've provided a letter to Congress that you can print and sign. Tell your representatives to oppose restrictions to free speech on cable TV.
So gather your friends together, make some popcorn and sit back to enjoy your favorite programs - while you still can.
Make sure you fill in the TV show, date, time and location of your party.
We'll send you a one-time follow up email, asking how your Couch Party went.
I am particularly fond of the annoying magician guy as I went to school with him.
I've hated him with a reach-through-the-screen-and choke-the-actor intensity in everything else I've ever seen him in, but he's somehow OK for me in this show.
Ach, now I must defend my friend. Other than the T.V. Geek, he's pretty much the only friend of mine from college who'd gotten himself a regular gig.
Jessica has O.C wisdom. Always listen to Jessica.
I had timelies. Mostly I got nothing.
I've hated him with a reach-through-the-screen-and choke-the-actor intensity
I totally adore this phrase. Just saying.

Burying the pope. There should be a song.
Okay, for me, the funny thing about tonight's CSI was
when they went into the storage place, I knew what was going to happen because there had been a thing on the news here about something similiar. Clearly, one of the CSI writers must have also heard the story about the ob-gyn who was working out of a storage locker.
Timelies!
Um, just out of morbid curiosity, what happened last night on
Survivor?
Today I'm seeing a chiropractor for the first time, which should be interesting. Actually, I'm hoping this helps a lot, my neck and shoulders have been killing me the past couple days....
