You know, with the exception of one deadly and unpredictable midget, this girl is the smallest cargo I've ever had to transport. Yet by far the most troublesome. Does that seem right to you?

Kate, let me know if you're interested in Tropicalia after the book. I've got a bunch, and it's on the expensive side so I could send you some.

You mean, am I interested in Tropicalia music? I think the answer I'm looking for is "hell yeah!"

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Any sugardaddies wanna buy it for me?

Well, I'll dig through my seat cushions - if I come up with $850,000 I'll buy it for ya....

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Oh msbelle, it's gorgeous.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Oh, man. I think my parents looked at one of msbelle's dream houses in around 1983. It wasn't $850K then....

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Go, see.

Forwarded the link to my home e-mail, as I don't think that's going to be a good thing to watch in my cubical, spacious (and window laden) as it may be.

Thanks, msbelle!

Frank, I can't wait for a report.

Tommy, if you have $1000 in your cushions I'd be a little worried.

My fantasy of owning one of those homes is crazy. I think I need something between my 950 square feet and that 4000 square feet, but for now my place is fine.

The status is NOT quo.

Frank, from way back, I would love the pilot of Eyes if you feel like sending the tape (I have this week's TiVo'd), but no rush at all.

t waves to everyone

Timelies. I'm being all productive. Something must be wrong.

So property taxes are only $2,424 on an $850,000 house? New York is a bargain.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

If this is something that you might do every semester (assuming that you like it and they like you) then it might be worth doing even if the pay is low. But if it's a one-time deal you should remember that the prep time is going to be outrageous the first time around.

It might be something I would continue with as long as it doesn't keep me from too many other opportunities. I don't think the prep time will be too bad. I've been teaching similar things to high schoolers at an arts camp for years. I'll have to adjust, but I won't be starting from scratch.

Has this university really never had an adjunct before, or are they hoping your guess will be a lowball?

I think he is hoping my guess will be lowball. It sounds like I'm being asked to take over part of a class that the chair is the teacher of record for. I think he'll probably submit my fee as a sort of guest lecturer instead of adjunct. It would be nice to have adjunct on the resume, though.
