I am, at times, lucky that an alarm clock works at all. I used to employ three alarm clocks placed all around my room, one of them the old fashioned type with the bells on top that sounded like a fire alarm going off. I would still miss my 8:30 classes. (I just solved that by not registering for anything before 11:30.)
Now I just use two alarm clocks, and usually I wake up. If the radio doesn't wake me up at 7:30, the music for the 8 o'clock news on the CBC seems to have magical powers of cutting through sleep. Unfortunately, I'm supposed to be to work at 8:30.
I almost always wake up before the alarms, actually, but I need them for the sleep-in.
I am never awake when I get up. I can oversleep very easily. I haven't been able to get up on time since NPR booted Bob Edwards. his voice was the only thing that cut through my fog.
So, ALIAS - am I the only one who yelled
GILES!!! when Robin Sachs appeared.
Yep, just me then.
Sleep. Interesting concept - I don't seem to do much of it anymore. I'd have to place my average somewhere around 4-6 hours. This may be the inevitable result of a morning person who mutated into a night owl. I can't say I'm lively in the morning, and, despite the fact that getting back to sleep once I'm within an hour of when I absolutely have to get up (7am) is well nigh impossible, sometimes I fight it like a demon. Other times, I'm up and out of bed as soon as my eyes open. I drag ass during the day sometimes (especially after lunch), but the mornings aren't usually a problem and I don't get to bed before midnight most nights, and it's usually at least a half hour later before I'm asleep.
Also, I can't remember the last time my alarm actually woke me up. I set it every night, but no matter what I set it for, somehow I seem to wake up at least 5 minutes before it goes off. I REALLY don't get me, quite honestly. Not anymore - I used to be able to sleep until mid-afternoon.
I think most people probably yelled
ETHAN!!!
*g*
I think most people probably yelled
Oh I know. I should have given a tip of the pin
to the Infantes somewhere.
