Timelies!
Last night was actually warm enough that I opened the back door to the porch and sat out there for a while!
t does a happy Spring dance
TAR:
Too bad about the brothers! I thought Uchenna & Joyce rocked -- who knew that there was a contestant who'd ever even seen the head-balancing trick in person?
Killer Fatigue
got a lot of the contestants this episode. They didn't have a luxurious pit stop the previous night -- those cots out in the desert must not have been very comfortable or stress-reducing. So we saw a whole lot of bad behavior from just about everyone but Rob & Amber (who, after all, have slept rough before)
Kelly
is just melting down, in particular. Unless the camera missed something, Ron didn't curse her out at all. I don't suppose the cracks about the ballet lessons didn't help, but he WAS doing better at the head balancing than she was. (Once again, Uchenna's gentle encouragement worked a whole lot better. In fact, this was the Be Gentle episode (especially the goats, who will let down better if you don't yank on them or yell).
Lynn & Alex
lost points with me for the "born to do it" crack, but then regained a bunch of them for putting on all their clothes just in case it was a non-elimination round.
Rob
once again rocked with the competence. Notice how he handled the log-moving? He drove the Rover right up to the log so he didn't have to scramble so far to get the strap around it, and positioned the truck so he dragged it out of the road with one backup.
At this point there is only one team that I really don't want to win, and if they get eliminated next, I shan't cry....
TAR: Kelly
kind of freaked me out this episode with the voiceover about how she read the Bible passage on "Love" and substitured her own name in place of the word "love" as her inspiration for the upcoming leg. Is that a known bible analysis/meditation tool?
It just seemed way random and jarring to me.
I watched TAR this morning as I went to bed at 9:30 (seems to be the only way I can get enough sleep right now), sad that
the brothers are out - they were funny and seemed nice, but alas too many dumb mistakes.
I am ready to see
Kelly's team and Meredith's team out,
I can't seem to remember both names for the teams that I don't like. I can't imagine
Kelly's team slipping all the way from 2 to last, but I expect to see them slip further back if she keeping up the antaganism. That leaves Meredith and wife to be last and that is my guess barring a BIG mistake from someone else.
My favorite part of the episode was
Lynn & Alex putting on the extra clothes in case of being last in a non-elimination round. smart AND funny.
Today is supposed to be another gorgeous day. yay!
Also dead, Prince Rainier. [link]
Except "all over the internet" does not equal mentioning it in an email to me, when you give me her phone number
She uses it all over the internet. I don't. Hence ... me not using it in an e-mail to you.
Saul Bellow, not one to buck a trend:

Skipping, skipping, skipping, for: according to Susan W. "If the Apocalypse Comes, Beep Me" Apr 6, 2004 6:58:59 am PDT , today is Annabel's first birthday (I remembered that she was born a couple of days after a dear friend in face-space gave birth, and that baby turned one year old a coupld of days ago, so I thought I'd check). Happy birthday, Annabel!
