I'm looking for a term that's been teasing around the edges of my brain, refusing to come into the light so I can decide if it's right for a scene I'm working on. It's a horsey term, something about a line breeding true, only more colorful.
Sorry for the delay--I was down at my folks' place.
Stamps his get is a term used to describe studs who sire foals with a particular sire-like look. I don't know how long the term's been 'round, though.
Sorry for the delay--I was down at my folks' place.
No problem. I've been watching the game and reading since I posted anyway. The book (In the Prince's Bed, by Sabrina Jeffries) is going much better than the game, despite the latter's promising beginning.
Anyway, "stamps his get" is exactly what I was looking for, and I might just use it without worrying overmuch about its origin date. It sounds like it
could
be said in 1811--it's not like he'd be saying, "OK, dude, whatEVAH."
Here's my requisite lame first post.
Hi everyone! <waves to the Buffistas cult>
Mostly skipped, but did catch
teaspoon state,
which is perfect.
Also, I think by board time I'm still on the right date for...
Happy Birthday, Stephanie!
And, hi, Eddie. Welcome.
Welcome, Eddie, and congratulations upon your very pretty numberslutty ID#.
Thanks for pointing out the numbersluttage, JZ, didn't notice that.
<does numberslut snoopy dance>
Wouldn't it be sad if I lurked for that long just to get 1600?
JZ, I was just about to mention that number. Way cool.
Where can you see someone's ID#?
P.S. HI EDDIE!
Just mouse over their userid, Rio. You're #44. I'm #52.
