I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Hello all.

Most people are out today, right? I popped into the office for a few hours. Then I will be back to contemplating the sacrifice my lord made for me.

I cannot believe that when I told people I would work today, that they thought I meant a full 8 hours on a paid vacation day. crackheads, clearly. I got a call at my house at 11 asking where I was. I slept until 10:30, geez. oh well, up now and here.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Most people are out today, right?

Nope.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

I want to see film of the running bats.

We need to get this for Jilli at the very least.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Long enough for J and A to 1) realize that once R wakes up J is a dead man, since R has the power to have him summarily executed, and that R would almost certainly continue his assaults upon A; 2) quickly make an escape plan; and 3) bind and gag R so that he won't be able to sound the alarm the very instant he wakes up.

One of my fellow junior instructors got almost choked out last Sunday. Not enough to lose consciousness (he wanted to know how quickly the choke came on, so he could tell when was too late). He wasn't up to doing anything much for at least a couple minutes. He dropped to his knees after a few seconds of careful carotid choking. Unconsciousness would be brief, though -- 10-20 seconds. But he'd be limp and tie-uppable for a while.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Most people are out today, right?

Sadly, greviously, tragically, no.

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

My office is at full bore. Not even being let go at 2pm, as is the case on Fridays before Mondays off. Clearly, a godless bunch.

Although, how many people will still be here after 2pm is another question.

I got a call at my house at 11 asking where I was.

Wait, these are the people who can't seem to make a single damned meeting and they are calling your HOUSE on a paid holiday?

Twits.

We don't have any more holidays until...memorial day? The one in may.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm working. We're all hoping for a 3 pm close, but it's not looking likely.

However, we did hit our year budget target yesterday, so the chances of at least being bought lunch by the bosses are fairly good.
