Look, Angel, I know you've been out of the loop for a while, but I'm still evil. I don't do errands...unless they're evil errands.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Happy birthday to Tom, who is fabulous and wonderful, and deserves a whole year of fabulous wonderfullness. (Well, okay, Tom deserves a whole rest of his life of fabulous wonderfullness, but you can only order it in single-year sizes.)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Other people have an increasing tendency to be young, though, and it disturbs.

We have this issue in my grad school class. Bad enough one girl is actually 20, but we finally found the classmate whose father is younger than my one friend. But yet we all sit in the same classes together.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Happy Birthday to Tom, who is sweet and fabulous.

I FUCKING LOVE DST! This from a girl who didn't have it for many years. Anway, despite the hour loss, I had to make a 10 am appointment in midtown today so I dragged myself (unshowered and gross) down there, cursing my "I need to get up early anyway" appointment-setting self. But I got my shit done, figured out a way to avoid going to the office today, did the obligatory breakfast at Tiffany's (or latte at Tiffany's), went to my favorite H&M (across the street from the big cathedral which has every news truck in town) and spent all the money burning a hole in my pocket on a new spring wardrobe for which I am PSYCHED because I now have, among other things, a pink seersucker jacket. And I spent the rest on the Arrested Development DVDs and SPIN with Interpol on the cover. I tried to beat Mo Rocca home but MAN he walks fast.

And now to brunch. I may still have to go to the office. But apparently there is a way to get shit done, shop, brunch and go to the office in the same day, and it seems to involve getting up in the morning.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I way way WAY overslept. Eesh.

Me too.

However, I just made breakfast, and I managed to get eggs, beans, toast, and tea all cooked and warm at the same time, which I've never managed to do before (there's always something ready too early and then cold by the time everything else is done.) So I think I'll say that that's my accomplishment for today.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Happy birthday, Tom!

We didn't oversleep, thanks to Annabel, who chose to wake up at 8:30, even though it should've felt like 7:30 and therefore a good 45 minutes to an hour before she normally awakens.

Oh, and Allyson, you were in a dream I had last night. You were a character in FotR, Boromir's love interest, though your name was still Allyson and not Allywen or Allysadriel or anything. At first I just thought it was funny that my subconscious would cast anyone but me to play opposite Boromir. Then I remembered you weren't even a particular fan of the movies. My brain, she is strange.
