but even then, since removing her hydration and nutrition was going to kill her, I don't understand that, either.
There was no reason -- none -- to believe that mouth-feeding her would work. And, so I've read, aspiration pneumonia is a more painful and uglier death than dehydration.
I don't think that I've been to confession since I was confirmed some 25 years ago, but I don't mention that fact to the priest when I go to communion.
Well, I'm telling him now.
You are in SO MUCH TROUBLE.
NBC had a tough night at The Office Tuesday as its imported sitcom, which had shown promise with a strong debut last Thursday, virtually collapsed in its regular Tuesday-night slot.
Up against House, TAR, Veronica Mars if I'm not mistaken - tough slot. Did they promote it at all? I had no idea it wasn't regularly set for Thursdays.
I think VM was in the 8pm slot, and lost it horribly. I've seen Office promos all over the place, too.
Oh, I'm in trouble! Will someone spank me?
OK, my mind just went to a definitely icky priest/punishment place that it did NOT want to go.
I'm pretty sure that you can receive communion in either of the two kinds if necessary. Consecrated wine alone counts. And the Last Rites definitely include provisions for the unconscious dying person.
I confess, I don't even know what channel "The Office" is on. But then, my Thursday (and Tuesday) viewing is pretty much already set, and I don't much care for sitcoms anyway.
VM is at 9:00. It would be so much easier to tape it and TAR if it was on at 8:00, so you know that's never going to happen.
