So, longtime ALIAS watchers, without going into details (since I'll borrow the first two seasons from my brother at this point), does Marshall have a backstory, or has he always been here as a Xander/Q crossbreed (since Jack seems to treat Marshall roughly the same way Giles treated Xander).
Because after having only seen a half dozen episodes of the show, and definitely after tonight, Marshall is one of my favorite TV characters ever.
Althouth knowing Tarantino played a role on the show for a while, I do wonder if they had any scenes together 'cause that would be a chin-off for the ages.

Anyone else read this as a euphemism for "Marshall's dead?" Or am I the only one with the "Boromir will never eat scrambled eggs again" picture burned into my brain?
Also, I am currently seeking a screencap to turn into an icon with the caption "What's a spork?" But none from tonight seem to be up yet.

Uh, he lived with his mom back when he was SD-6's tech guy. Then when the CIA busted SDD-6 he came to work for them, met Carrie, got married, had the baby.

Damn, that's a little more than I wanted to know, but not what I was hoping, so it's OK.
I'd hoped he'd been a geek friend of Sydney's from college who ended up working with her (a la Willow, Xander, et al.). Oh well - he ROCKED tonight.
