We had nice spring weather for a day or two, but then rain. We're supposed to get spring back by the end of the week, though.
Well, rain is a part of Spring. In general though, DC is an area that typically gets Springtime weather between the Vernal Equinox and the Summer Solstice, right? What about (not Upstate) New York, New Jersey, and CT?
Here, we're typically advised to not even plant anything until after Memorial Day, because frost is still an issue. Sometimes it feels like we get Summer, Fall, Winter, and Thaw/Freeze/Thaw/Snow/Freeze/Rain until June, and then we get a few weeks of Spring.
We do. But that is because in a few months I will be trapped inside as surely as by snow.
Oh, yeah. For all my bitching, I'd rather have it cold than hot.
Cindy, my sort-of-point was that, instead of getting the leftovers from what we call winter during what we call spring, we get the previews for the summer (even erika will call that summer).
probably late June, but we'll have to see how it works out
I'm sure we'll be able to work something out.
I'm sure we'll be able to work something out.
That would be great.
Yikes. I just noticed the time. I've got to go have office hours.
Thaw/Freeze/Thaw/Snow/Freeze/Rain
That's not Spring? Actually, that's not Spring for here, because you forgot Wind. Lots and lots of Wind. Which is better than Fairbanks, where you get Mud and have to wear Breakup Boots.

Hee. I'm sorry, Nilly. I understood that. I think I just fumbled and made my own sort-of-point, twice.
eta...
I can't believe I forgot the wind, juliana. How about when you lived in Alaska? Can Alaska's summer count as Spring?
I must be more spoiled for VM than I thought -- I didn't think either of the two MAJOR things that were left slip in that Salon article were that spoilery.
Also, you guys know that you can see the teaser on the UPN VM site and today, on the TVGuide site too, right?
Well, that's...odd.
I had a disappointing bagel this morning. It's an inauspicious start to the day.
Can Alaska's summer count as Spring?
Not in the Interior. It can get over 90 degrees in Fairbanks during June and July. Blech. Nope, it's mostly Tourist Season and Winter, with a week each for Breakup and Leaves Dropping.
