Always Anti-fascist!

I've only seen one, ever. And there was a keg in it and that's all I remember.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And there was a keg in it and that's all I remember.

Fun episode! Genius work by Bill! Non-Alcoholic Beer drunkenness!

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

Yeah, that episode was awesome. Jesus is just alright with me, after all.

That's when I really fell for Millie.

She had me at "I'm going to stay sober and have more fun than anybody here."

Always Anti-fascist!

I should probably get that, but I'm trying to cut back on the Netflix, you know. You guys are not helping.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

That's when I really fell for Millie.

That was a nice episode, but IMO the episode with Linda Cardinelli's bad trip and Millie and the basset hound is what really seals the deal. Anyone who doesn't fall right down to worship at the shrine of Millie after that episode is made of stone.

I think Freddy Quimby should walk out of here a free hotel

I may be alone in thinking that Apatow's work has gotten steadily stronger, and that F&G just screams "BEHOLD MY FIRST-TIME WRITER UBERREALISM!!" in a way that completely negates any real realism the show may have had.

How does uberrealism negate real realism?

Random guy: Do you wanna beer?

Millie: No, thank you. I'm high on life.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

How does uberrealism negate real realism?

I probably phrased that wrong -- the vibe I get from the show is that it's really really trying to be realistic. And the "trying too hard" vibe, for me, gets in the way of the show's actually being realistic. I found it too self-aware to be successful.
