Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

ION, PotC II concept art: [link]

Spoilery, obviously, with respect to art/costume designs, ship designs, etc. But freaky and really cool.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was into Jake for ten minutes which became 15, when it stretched into Jarhead. It's retracted to only ten again -- it'll take a lot for it to be smaller than the big gay cowboy action.

Mmm. Assless chaps in context.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

This made me spit diet coke.

I think I got that from Allyson, but I keep forgetting it's not the actual name of the movie. Oops.

Any thoughts on The Weather Man ?

It takes place in Chicago, so there's that....

Always Anti-fascist!

I think I would see it, even though the trailer gives me no clue what the flim is about. Are those the sorts of thoughts you want?

Sorta. I'll be going with friends, so it's not my first choice. But the reviews make it sound more interesting than the previews (kinda' a dark comedy).

It was well made and well acted and easy to sit through, but it didn't really leave me with anything afterwards.

Yeah. Kinda felt like they were trying to make a point of the ridiculous and inane, but only managed to really do the jackassery well. And I was bored with the whole bootcamp stuff. BTDT.

Much preferred Three Kings. That rocked.

The ads before Jarhead were...interesting. There was a marine corps recruitment ad(!), some first person shooter game, a trailer for Munich (which I guess is about the creation of an israeli assasin in the wake of Munich,) Syriana and then one for the Aniston relationship movie-not the tense one.

Which one of these things is not like the other?

I think instead of the last, they should have had a trailer for that movie about palestinian suicide bombers that I saw a few weeks ago. Then it wouold have even had a regional theme!
