Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
I'm in a bar shaped like a boat.
We don't have a bar shaped like a boat. No fair.
Juliana, I had a great time, even with the missing Teppy part.
While nominally not a horror movie, since it is the best movie ever made, it transcends all genres.
Doesn't it have an actual, actual, actual vampire?
Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
Doesn't it have an actual, actual, actual vampire?
Well, it has Satan in it. And really, really, really gay costumes. What could be more Halloween than that?
There's a movie they used to show on USA a lot -- there are two sisters who survive this weird meteor shower (or something) where everyone who was outside is turned to dust. And some people have turned into zombies and the evil government scientists are turning to zombies and want the kids blood in order to survive.
It's complete with a pop montage in the mall where the girls try on clothes.
Night of the Comet
Thanks!

It's no Leprechaun 2.
Night of the Comets would be good.
American Werewolf in London has both funny and scares. Plus naked Jenny Agutter.
Dusk to Dawn.
Near Dark.
Seconding the nom for Idle Hands except that it's ACTUALLY a comedy, on purpose, not an unintentional one. If you want unintentional (I think, anyway) comedy, go with Bride of Chucky.
Idle Hands, by the way, is the second-best stoner movie ever. The best being Reefer Madnes the movie musical version. Third best is Harold and Kumar.
