Omar is eminently quotable. They've flirted a bit with Spike-ifying him, but have managed to keep him on the side of angels.

Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
Omar is nobody's fucking woobie, dawg.(Not an icon, but should be.) Fuck that shit.
Another Omar quote I really like:
LEVY: How do you rob drug dealers and live to tell about it?
OMAR: A day at a time, I suppose.
Possibly,that's in the delivery, though.
I love Omar on the stand.
I think it changed my life. Most places, I would not say that for fear of looking like a punk-assed bitch, but Buffistas get that kind of thing. Even those of you who have not netflixed the Wire yet. Kima makes me think of ita because she is tough and eager to take (and give) punishment...it's not exactly a separated at birth resemblance, but most people are happier not hassling either, I'd bet.
I saw this over at Defamer and it's fucking hysterical: recut trailer for The Shining.
HMOG, that is brilliant.
It's amazing what a difference a soundtrack (and very judicial editing) makes.

Amen to that.
Sound and editing are easily the most powerful tools the motion picture industry has. It's pretty phenomenal how easily manipulated all the other pieces are by those two elements.
That is beautiful.
