Angel: I appreciate you guys looking out for Connor all summer. It's just—he's confused. He needs time. That's all. Fred: Right. Time, and some corporal punishment with a large heavy mallet. Not that I'm bitter.

Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Great, now I'm flashing on John Turturro beating a penguin to death in front of Jodie Foster in 5 CORNERS. And it still disturbs the hell out of me.

Me too! But Frank and I often share the movie watching brain. When I'm not sharing it with Vonnie or Scrappy.

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

I'd completely forgotten about that movie. And now I remember.

Always Anti-fascist!

And smiley "I hate you," makes me feel like Harmony. But some places if I don't do that, people take it all wrong and think I'm serious.

I don't think we're that place.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

On the other hand, I laughed (inappropriately) like a loon when he picked his mother up and casually tossed her out the window.

Sometimes I am callous and strange.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

We saw The Curse of the Were-Rabbit today. A fairly simplistic plot but with lots and lots of laughs and plenty of Wallace's wonderful gadgets. I sorta kinda feel sorry for the voice actors b/c I totally missed all their names in the opening credits; the tracking shot over W&G's photos is hilarious--be sure to watch closely for the name of Gromit's alma mater. Nick Park has done it again and Wallace & Gromit keep getting better and better.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

My manager just showed me the Goblet of Fire trailer. It looks like loads of fun.

Kiss me, my girl, before I'm sick.

I didn't know there was another one until someone was talking about it on my Flist. Cooooool.

It appears to be available now online: [link]

Cedric Diggory is a cutie-pie, the poor thing. So is Victor Krum, which I didn't think was the case in the book--I thought he was sort of squat and intense?

Moody's eyes look wrong.
