looks too Van Helsing-like for me

Tiggy, it's a Terry Gilliam movie (Twelve Monkeys, Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Time Bandits), so I can guarantee you one thing it will probably not be is Van Helsing-like.

Art Crawl!!!

Yeah, when I saw the ad again and heard that Terry Gilliam made it -- my expectations for a good film went way up. At least an interesting film.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I adore the deconstruction of the meta, of listening to comedians talk about comedy. I love listening to comedians riff on the deconstruction of meta -- basically, it was a big wank fest, and aside from improvisers wanking, it's my favourite.

Like who?

Most notably Sarah Silverman. Normally I hate her. I found Negron bizarrely charming. It reminded me of my adoration for the Smothers on the left, and I didn't even hate Robin Williams and wasn't too bothered by Drew Carey.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Yeah, I liked Robin Williams in that, too. Silverman and Gottfried both went up in my estimation.

I've met Gottfried and he was quite nice, so since then I've liked him more than his performances. He more than caught up with his perfomance here.

Howie Mandel didn't make me want to smack him, and apart from the bit you know I mean, Carrot Top was just right.

Where did the time go?

Kathy you weren't even alive when West Side Story came out.

But I was just watching my tape of WSS, and now they all look different--wrinkly! Aren't they supposed to stay frozen in youth for all eternity?

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

When does it come out? (Why, yes, I'm trying to decide how and if we'll see it.)

I always have no love for Damon until I see him in something. Then, suddenly, I feel like I must have more, more, more Matt! It's kind of creepy, but it usually wears off. Took longer after the damn Borne movies, though.

When does it come out?

Site says August 26th. Oooh! Monica Belucci! Oh yeah. Can't miss.

IMDb one-line synopsis on its page characterizes them as con men "ridding towns of evil" who accidentally run into the real thing.

Which gives it a sort of* similar plot to the upcoming Wallace and Gromit: the Curse of the Were-rabbit, due out in October. (*W&G aren't con men, so I guess the plot isn't all that similar, but it was as good an excuse as any to pimp W&G)

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

[link] ... the trailer is only 7mb, so isn't the best but it gives you a good idea of what The Brothers Grimm is going to be like. Personally, I can't wait to see it. Any new Gilliam movie is a good movie.

Your tag here.

Ok, new rule: voiceovers for trailers cannot begin with "In a world...". Otherwise, yes, the Grimm Bros. looks quite intriguing.

Also? Spelling intriguing is HARD.
