A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I loved Legally Blonde. I don't think that was her doing, though, as I loved Clueless for very similar reasons and don't think Alicia Silverstone is a great actress.

Have you seen Election ? She's great in it.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Reese was incredible in what'sitcalled. Freeway? And she was good in Election. Since then, she's been essentially coasting in lame roles that don't seem to challenge. It's a shame, because she's not lacking in chops.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

Yeah, Election is the one movie of hers that I really marvel at her abilities in. The rest of them, she's pretty and kind of OK.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Even though his more recent movies have been a bit lackluster, I would nominate John Cusack.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

move out and draw fire

Goth Eye for the Preppie Gal/Guy

This show MUST be made!

No Johnny Depp in that article? Is he just too good an actor, and not really a "classic star" ?

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

No, no, they did mention him. Said he'd be remembered most for Edward Scissorhands and Ed Wood.

Yep, it's Freeway. And, yep, she was great. The movie is a hoot. An outrageously sleazy hoot, but a hoot nonetheless. Keifer Sutherland is really good in it too.

I also agree that Election is her other significant role, and she's done nothing to equal these two since.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

After Election, she decided she didn't want to be an indie character actress, she wanted to be a Big Star. Hence the blandness that was both Legally Blonde movies.

Hey. New board.

Goth Eye for the Preppie Gal/Guy

I need to be a contestant or victim or patient or whatever on this show.
