I should be asleep, but that's seeming unlikely...so in my evening perambulations around the Internet, I noted this quiz on AICN:
Who would you cast as The Joker for the next Batman movie?
- Mark Hamill
- Lachy Hulme
- Crispin Glover
- Robin Williams
- Adam Sandler
- David Cronenberg
- Adrien Brody
- Andrew Koenig
- Tim Roth
- Jack Nicholson
The only thing I know about Katie is she was cute as Kitty in X2, and had a couple of funny lines in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. I liked her a lot in her little role there, so I'm not at all opposed to her continuing the role of Kitty, but it sadly doesn't look likely. They seem to want somebody with at least a little more of a name.
Has anyone heard anything about Dark Water? A horror movie with a cast full of Actors?
Has anyone heard anything about Dark Water?
The trailer is pretty cool in the has-a-creepy-kid-and-a-creepy-old-man-and-a-famous-actress sort of way. It's yet another remake of a japanese horror, which I haven't seen though I've had a downloaded copy for a while.
I'm interested in it, but not obsessively so.
Last night, I watched a very fun netflix doc. about Scrabble tournaments called Word Wars...I thought I'd recommend it to Buffistas. Did you know there's money in Scrabble? I didn't.(I'm not as good as those guys, though.)

The creator of the original (and Ringu), Hideo Nakata, is responsible for the Americanized version. I've seen the original story, which was pretty compelling though it obviously drew from some of the same motifs that Ringu did. The cinematography in the remake looks breathtaking, and Jennifer Connely is a much more talented actress than her Japanese counterpart, but images from the trailer make me think they may have introduced a change in the plot that will make the most frightening and poignant part play very differently if it's included at all.

After watching Phil make a living at Backgammon for 10 years, I am not surprised.
Not quite "living" money, but big prize on a game show money.(I wouldn't trade places with the winner for anything though...he's kind of sad and has a raging gastric disorder of some type, but it does make me want to dust off my game some.)
Especially since they all said women are not competitors.
