"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That just seems wrong.

I think they had to rewrite the ending because of...

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Did we know? Boy, howdy! It was a big deal among die-hard Red Sox fans, because not only did FOX interview Jimmy Fallon during the World Series (he's a Yankees fan anyway), he and Drew Barrymore were allowed out onto the field after the win (whereas, actual fans were held in the stands behind 3rd base).

They filmed for a while in Boston mid-season, you know, stuff at Fenway before and after games. I think several players got on the "acting" bandwagon as well, and will show up in the promo stuff. (Bleah!)

Apparently, they'd intended the movie to end "bittersweet", with the Sox losing, but whoops. They had to rewrite and reshoot a lot in November.

Art Crawl!!!

By, "are making" you mean "have made" - because I've seen promos on tv already.

Jimmy Fallon is a Yankees fan? What the shit is that?

Punishingly Intricate

I hadn't connected until just now that it's an adaptation of the book Fever Pitch...I'm guessing it's not going to translate quite as smoothly as the Americanized High Fidelity.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

It's been a movie already with a Hornby-penned screenplay. Colin Firth is completely fucking adorable in it.
