Although to be honest, some of the CGI looked...not good. Some did, though. I am not agog, but I am interested, cause, you know, giant ape and other beasties. Looks fun.

It's the Naomi Watts that pulls me in. The Peter Jackson is a nice cred for it, but I'm not sure brilliance-in-adapting-a-brilliant-text-to-movie is the same as brilliance-in-adapting-a-um-well-okay-not-so-brilliant-really-but-pretty-cool-movie-to-...-movie.
Still, I'll be there unless the word of mouth is especially abyssmal.

PJ has such a love (nay, obsession) with the original King Kong that I figure he won't destroy the good stuff about it, and will use all that modern technology to make it better. I love the casting of Jack Black.
