Hey. New board.

My Batman showing sold out between the time I chose it on the electronic touchscreen machine and the time I entered how many tickets I wanted.

It was very sad.

Art Crawl!!!

I went to see Batman Begins this afternoon. The first showing at 1 pm. The theatre was by no means sold out. In fact, it was fairly empty.

And the movie totally rocked. I loved it! Want more now! I didn't even mind Katie Holmes. Gary Oldman was excellent as Jim Gordon, I loved Michael Caine as Alfred. Liam Neeson should always have a sword in his hand and I cried when Tom and Martha Wayner were killed.

When I got to the theatre it was empty except for one woman who I sat about two rows ahead of and a couple seats over. I'm sure this was at least her second time at the movie because she kept laughing at the funny bits ahead of everyone. Or else she has pre-cognition.

Also excellent trailers including Serenity!!!!

And a trailer for The New World with Colin Farrell as Capt. John Smith and Christian Bale as John Randolph and David Thewlis as somebody. It looked good.

We also got a teaser for WotW that was more intriguing than the full trailer . . . and has no Tom Cruise in it. Interesting. (Because last week at Mr. and Mrs. Smith we got the full WotW trailer.) And a trailer for The Island and the one for Dukes of Hazzard.

Anyway, everyone has said just about everything. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to see it again.

Art Crawl!!!

The only sad thing is that for some reason Howl's Moving Castle is NOT playing in my town. Therefore, the all Bale movie weekend I was hoping for is not going to pan out.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I've got a choice of matinees tomorrow. Batman Begins or Howl's Moving Castle.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Definitely Batman. I saw Howl's Moving Castle this afternoon, and it was disappointing. Not bad, just...not Miyazaki's best work. There's just a lot in it that doesn't make sense.

That's the top runner, Steph. I need to dig up a geek who'll want to see it with me.
