We can come by between classes. Usually I use that time to copy over my class notes with a system of different colored pens. But it's been pointed out to me that that's, you know...insane.

I know my own heart and understand my fellow man. But I am made unlike anyone I have ever met. I dare to say I am like no one in the whole world. - Anne Lister

He's on Queer as Folk. Gay heartbreaker, Mr. Brian Kinney. He even makes the lesbians' hearts flutter.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Tony Shaloub as...

Sewer Urchin, but that's the wrong universe.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

HMOG, that was a good Batman movie.

Loved it. Want it on DVD right now.

The thing that most surprised me was that everyone in the theatre got sniffly at the death of the Waynes. (I don't think I have to spoiler-font that plot point, do I?) I mean, *I* expected I would tear up at it, because I'm a big sap and easily emotionally manipulated by movies, but I didn't expect everyone ELSE in the theatre to be quietly sniffling.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

My emotional reaction took me by surprise, Jilli. It's not like I haven't read the story a million times. It's just that this time it was actually sad.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Noir Alert! Noir Alert!

Nightmare Alley with Tyrone Power has finally been released on DVD after many years of being completely unavailable. This is great, super twisted carny geek noir.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

And since you were wondering, my DVD Pet Peeve for Today is:

"Interactive Menus" listed as a Special Feature.

Oooh.

Always Anti-fascist!

Mine is commentaries that are full of people saying "You know, I don't remember that." Bored now. But also, wrod.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

My commentary pet peeve is when the entire commentary is filled with "and this is where this happens..." You know, I've already seen the film; I know what happens in it. I just want to learn some behind-the-scenes details, like why you cast the actors you did, or how you did that specific CGI shot. Don't tell me the dialogue, or the actions that I'm already familiar with!
