Ford fampously improv-ed the riposte "I know" to Leia's declaration of love.
t nitpick
It's not improvising if they talked about it beforehand (which, by all accounts, they did).

As painful as the Anakin/Padme romance scenes are, the Most Needed To Be Rewritten Line Of Them All Award has to go to
"My wife and I have always talked about adopting a baby girl."
because it turns that scene into a REALLY CREEPY MOMENT. Was
"My wife and I have always wanted a daughter"
taken? What was he thinking?? (The timing doesn't help either. If the line were less jumped on, the
"Ooh, ooh! I call dibs on the girl!"
vibe would have been far diminished.)
I'd rather see QTs Star Wars than Kevin Smith's.
Interesting performance, no.
Was there an interesting performance? I liked the Emperor, I guess.
Hee, hee, hee!
I can't take credit for that, but I have no idea where I first heard it. It was in the ether as soon as he was cast.
I also loved Aaron McGruder in the Boondock's having Huey be all bent out of shape and coming up with rhymes about how bad the Phantom Menace was.
To paraphrase:
"The Phantom Menace was wack; the movie needed more Sam Jack."
Ok, well, still amusing, even if not homegrown.
It occurred to me, while Darth was being suited up, how utterly ridiculous that suit is. What the hell kind of helmet is that? Really?
I believe it was supposed to look samurai-esque, going back to the Jedi as samurai angle from the original trilogy.
I can't really blame Natalie Portman. I complain about my sought-after job, and my boss doesn't make me look bad in front of a billion people.
Saw RotS on Friday evening. It was meh for me, but I'm assigning some of that to my horrible mood. The acting threw me out of the scene quite a few times. As others have said, no passion in the performances at all, even with Vadar at the end. I will say that McDiarmid was the exception to that, he was pretty damn creepy. I think that when I'm in a better frame of mind, I need to see it again. I did think that the action sequences were very impressive and the CGI for Yoda was way cool, much better than the either PM or AotC.
I love Ewan's performance now that I've seen it twice. I don't love it enough to go back and watch AotC again, but he just breaks my heart in the big final battle scene.
But promoting her work is part of her job. Is it part of yours?
