If I only had a brain...

OH, and it made me really, really happy that HTTG played the "Journey of the Sorceror" over the second set of credits. That song alwas puts me in a Hitchhikery move mood.

Edit: Will work for branes.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I almost started crying when the banjos started, it made me so happy. All four times. Me = sap.

That theme always says "Good things are about to happen" to me. Just like the Buffy theme.

Buh?

CATE BLANCHETT is to play BOB DYLAN in director TODD HAYNES' upcoming biopic ’I'M NOT THERE’.

The director has also cast Adrien Brody, Colin Farrell, Richard Gere, Julianne Moore and Charlotte Gainsbourg to play the legendary singer at different times of his career in a highly unconventional seven-handed biography.

Haynes is still looking for a final "Dylan" to complete his casting and says he's seeking a young black woman to portray the musician's "inner-blackness".

Given the director, this is either going to be stunningly brilliant, or a disaster of epic proportions.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Alicia Keyes was in talks to do that movie. I don't know what's the what on it anymore....

As long as it's not Halle Berry...

(Oh, who am I kidding, it's Todd Haynes -- I'd go see it even if it was Halle Berry and Renee Zellweger co-starring opposite Carrot Top.)

Compassionately intolerant

Saw The Guide last night with a smallish but wildly appreciative crowd. It was wonderful to hear little kids hooting with laughter.

So many sweetly teary moments too.

Just lovely.

Off to find a Marvin doll.

The generation that could change the world is still looking for its car keys.

That may just be the oddest movie idea since . . . . Koyannisquatsi.

Is Todd Haynes the guy who has a movie out right now (whose name I disremember right now) where the main character is played by seven different racially and sexually diverse people?

aka "The artist formerly known as Corwood Industries."

No, that's that misanthrope what's-his-name who did Welcome To The Dollhouse. Todd Haynes did Safe, Velvet Goldmine, and that story about the Carpenters with Barbie dolls.
