What you did to me was unbelievable, Connor. But then I got stuck in a hell dimension by my girlfriend one time for a hundred years, so three months under the ocean actually gave me perspective. Kind of a M.C. Escher perspective, but I did get time to think.

Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video

A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.

Lurching from one disaster to the next.

H2G2 review: [link]

The news isn't good. For example...

Really bad. You just won't believe how vastly, staggeringly, jaw-droppingly bad it is. I mean, you might think that The Phantom Menace was a hopelessly misguided attempt to reinvent a much-loved franchise by people who, though well-intentioned, completely failed to understand what made the original popular - but that's just peanuts to the Hitchhiker's movie. Listen.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I posted that link a couple of weeks ago, jimi.

I don't know if Jessica's around, but she's seen the movie, and she *loved* it, and thinks that the reviewer is on crack.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Almost all the bigtime British reviewers--The Independent, BBC, the Guardian, etc, LOVED it.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Between that and Jessica's approval, I'm assuming it will be great fun.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is Yun Fat still in, or was that rumour? Keith Richards too.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

as well as archive footage of the late Marlon Brando, who played Superman's father Jor-El in the first Superman film in 1978.

Whuh?

I haven't heard anything about this movie that gives me the warm fuzzies, except for the Hugh Laurie Perry White, and we all know how that turned out.
