I was Helen Hunt on the quiz. YAY! I love her.
Buffista Movies 4: Straight to Video
A place to talk about movies--old and new, good and bad, high art and high cheese. It's the place to place your kittens on the award winners, gossip about upcoming fims and discuss DVD releases and extras. Spoiler policy: White font all plot-related discussion until a movie's been in wide release two weeks, and keep the major HSQ in white font until two weeks after the video/DVD release.
To play someone in their 20s, yeah.
Ah, I thought WW was in her early 30s.
I thought WW was in her early 30s.
I don't think she ages like normal people, so her actual age isn't so much the deal. I'm basing my judgment on this quote, though:
"I think we will go a little younger than the traditional idea of Wonder Woman," he says, adding that the new Princess Diana will likely be in her early twenties and played by someone outside the Buffyverse. "It's a movie, not a party for my friends."
The phrase "Princess Diana" gave me a chill. I'm now expecting a blonde.

She'll be twelve.
Ha! I hadn't even noticed. Of course, the real Princess Diana is my wallpaper (issues 3, 5, 6, and 16 of the Perez reboot).
This weekend I watched Steel Magnolias, which I'd never seen. It was pretty much what I expected (i.e., schlocky and a little annoying), but I LOVED Olympia Dukakis and Shirley Maclaine. Very funny, those two.
For the two or three Buffistas who will appreciate this (hayden being one), I was just listening to the commentary track on ALFREDO GARCIA and they were talking about how Sam Peckinpah had two actors in the back of his head to play Benny....Warren Oates (natch) and...PETER FALK!
Bad-ass. I actually can't imagine anyone other than Oates in that role, but Falk would've brought the Cassavetes-style intensity.
I haven't posted here in ages!
I saw Steamboy over the weekend, and while the visuals are of course spectacular, the story reeeeallllly dragged. As FAQ Girl put it, the film outstayed its welcome.
Don't know if this has been posted yet: [link]
Anyone want to do a Mejia?
I watched "The Breed" this weekend.
Boy, bad, terrible, stinking, rotten are words that don't even come close to describing this movie.
Even the worst episode of Angel is miles better than this.
Also, saw a bit of "Anonymous Rex" on Scifi -- very silly.
