Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

There's a few things I would have added, especially about being book smart

But She Scored a 1400 on the SAT.

The comments are great:

*Giles is the most attractive man on the show.
*I feel like you're trying to be provocative, but you're not going to get a response to that because we all agree with you.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I love how many people in the comments are proud defenders of S6.

Buffy Was Better When It Was A Movie With Kristy Swanson

Bwah! I have never actually heard a person seriously express that opinion, and I've been active in Buffy fandom since before we knew Angel was a vampire. I suspect I'd have to know Fran Rubel Kuzui personally for that not to be the case.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

One of my friends sincerely believes the movie is better but he a) has watched very little Buffy and b) hates non-episodic tv (The Battlestar Gallactica and New Dr. Who make him crazy, he mostly watches meTV now).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm enjoying their avid discussion of the effect of soul-having on vampires.

"I THOUGHT ABOUT THIS SO HARD WHEN I WAS FIFTEEN, LET ME TELL YOU."

All of those comments are perfect.

*Drusilla is the first in a trend of Whedon writing damaged "crazy" women characters who talk in sing song nursey rhyme cryptic clues

I can't really argue with that point, but it does't change my love for Dru. Plus, she was the best BtVs-verse vampire. THE BEST.

I am so happy she's the one vampire we know made it out of both series still undead!

Of all the Whedon damaged "crazy" women characters who talk in sing song nursey rhyme cryptic clues, Juliet Landau was by far the best actor.
