Where'd they get CAT scan from?... I mean, did they test it on cats? Or does the machine sort of look like a cat?

Buffy and Angel 1: BUFFYNANGLE4EVA!!!!!1!

Is it better the second time around? Or the third? Or tenth? This is the place to come when you have a burning desire to talk about an old episode that was just re-run.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

I liked some of it, but it lost steam in the middle and the climax was...yeah.

I don't know whose idea the zeppelins was.

"Contentment is the enemy of invention."

To me, the format seems too short to work as a collection of monster-of-the-week storylines. Condensing 40 minutes of plot into 22 pages is pretty impossible without either a lot of simplification or a retooling of narrative development.

Is it worth just skipping altogether?

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

They generally do multi-month story arcs, with about an episode's worth of content in each arc. I liked it at first, but it definitely dragged towards the middle.

It's not a collection of monster-of-the-week storylines. It follows the ramifications of the finale, and most stories are told over multiple issues. There are some good one-shots, too.

And I've never read it, so ignore all my remarks as being snarky.

"Contentment is the enemy of invention."

I'll give it a try, purely because I can't perceive a future without new Buffy.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

I followed through most of the Season 8 series, and afterwards thought I probably should have left well enough alone with "Chosen" as the final chapter in Buffy's saga.

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I stopped reading the comic after the issue where Buffy and Angel have sex and ascend to heaven. At least, I think that's what happened. I may have rolled my eyes so hard that the memory of what happened in the comic became a little hazy.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Actually, after the catastrophe that Jilli talked about, the series got better. There were still some "err, really?" moments, but I've followed along until the current break (there may be a season 10). The future slayer Fray and Brian K. Vaughn Faith/Giles episodes were definitely worth checking out. And if you've never read the original Fray series, that's definitely worth checking out.

Have you also watched Angel? The series after the show ended had some interesting stuff even though the artwork was terrible. I thought the following Angel & Faith series was pretty good, though.
